The sunshine is upon us in the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire and it finally feels like spring is here to stay.
As usual, the Advanced Kiosks Team has been hard at work engineering, designing, and manufacturing new, exciting interactive kiosks for your business needs. This quarter we ware announcing the Retail Kiosk, which is the perfect kiosk to enhance your in-store experience.
We have also been writing up a storm, introducing you to some of our customers on the AKx Blog. We have an interview with a Church Customer about Child Check-In Kiosks, and an interview with a Self Storage Customer about how he is using kiosks for Automated Self Storage.
And we have recently launched a Driver’s License Scanning Solution. With this solution, there is no need to type in all of your information. One quick scan of your license and the fields will autofill, saving your customers a lot of time.
Finally, we wanted to share some of the most popular request we receive for interactive kiosks from colleges and universities. Our kiosks have been utilized by higher education organizations for well over a decade and we hope our list generates some ideas for you of how to continue to optimize your student kiosk project.
NOW AVAILABLE: THE RETAIL KIOSK
CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST GOT EVEN BETTER
What happens when you have a customer who just found out the sweater/book/cosmetic/computer/etc they came to your location for is not in stock? You try to sell them something else, but often times they leave empty handed, taking their purchasing power with them.
With the new retail kiosk, you can ensure the customer is able to order exactly what they want through your website in store! Using the 22″ multi-touch display, and the easy-to-use payment feature, your customers can purchase on the spot using the Retail Kiosk.

AKx CUSTOMER INTERVIEWS
TALKING AUTOMATED SELF STORAGE & CHILDCARE CHECK IN AT CHURCH
We have amazing customers and we want to share their kiosk success stories with you! Recently we sat down with Brad Minsley of 10 Federal, a diversified real estate company, to talk about how he is using interactive kiosks (with self storage management software) to completely automate the self storage customer experience. Brad wanted to have a competitive edge in the suburban market, which is where his self storage facilities operate, and automated storage gives him that edge.
We were also fortunate to interview Lisa Middleton of Northeast Christian Church about her childcare check in kiosks and upcoming refurbishment project. Rather than purchasing all new kiosks after 7 years of hard use, Lisa’s plan is to save money by utilizing our kiosk refurbishment program.
If you would like to be interviewed for the AKx blog about your interactive kiosk project, please email William Manning with the subject line “Blog Interview”. We will promote your interview all over social media and give your website a back-link from our website.

NEW DRIVER’S LICENSE SCANNING SOLUTION
2D SCANNING SAVES TIME AND MONEY
We had previously offered a Driver’s License Scanning Solution through photo capture that would input the information into form fields on any web page or application. It was a good solution, but as Howard likes to say, “If you’re going to do it, make it great.”
At Advanced Kiosks, we are always striving to bring our customers the best solutions at the fairest cost. Quality is extremely important to us, and the new Driver’s License Scanning Solution not only performs better but it is also less expensive. It’s a win-win all around!
We now introduce you to our new 2D Driver’s License Scanning Solution. Both the United States and Canada have implemented 2D barcodes (PDF417) on their driver’s licences. This makes our new solution both relevant for your organization and extremely valuable for your customers.
The solution works by scanning the 2D barcode with a laser scanner that then populates the individual form fields. This saves the time it would take for your customers to manually input their information through a touch screen or external keyboard, which enhances the customer experience.
If you would like additional information on our new, efficient and cost saving solution, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
