Devlyn Optical, a leading eye care provider in Houston, TX, set out to make vision services more accessible to underserved communities—particularly the city’s large Hispanic population. Recognizing the link between uncorrected vision and broader health and academic issues, Devlyn needed a way to deliver affordable, walk-up care without requiring an appointment or clinic visit.

Business Challenge:

  • Traditional optical services required appointments, limiting availability
  • Need for bilingual, user-friendly access in high-traffic locations
  • Desire to offer both virtual fittings and health screenings in a single system

Advanced Kiosks partnered with Devlyn Optical to develop a custom self-service eye care station built on the Merchant Max kiosk platform and powered by ZAMOK™ Software.

Located in a busy grocery store, the kiosk features:

  • A large portrait touchscreen with vibrant custom branding and LED lighting
  • Virtual try-on technology using HD webcam and face-tracking software
  • Remote eye health screenings conducted via secure video
  • A bilingual, interactive interface designed for intuitive use
  • No appointment required—walk-up service for anyone in need

This fully branded, visually engaging kiosk helps users try on frames, check eye health, and learn about care options—all from one easy-to-use system
