Youth Voter Registration Kiosks for Schools & Public Spaces
Montgomery County, Alabama
The Montgomery County Probate Office partnered with Montgomery Public Schools to drive civic engagement and boost youth voter participation. Their initiative placed interactive kiosks in high-traffic locations to make registration more accessible and visually engaging for students and the community.
Hardware and customization highlights included:
- Custom freestanding kiosks finished in candy apple red with bold decals and high-contrast UI for visual impact
- Zamok Basic subscription for secure, managed access to registration tools and public information
- Mobile deployment — kiosks easily moved for events, drives, or high-traffic placement
- Multi-use service tools for voter registration, wayfinding, community services, applications, and employment resources
This county-wide deployment began with a 9-kiosk launch in 2021, followed by two additional rollouts expanding the ne1twork to 27 kiosks across schools, libraries, and civic buildings. The flexibility and visibility of the units have empowered student groups and educators to host on-demand registration drives — from cafeterias to basketball games.
