Background
The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation oversees the Commemorative Brick Program and Roll of Honor at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia. These programs allow donors to honor Marines past and present by placing engraved bricks throughout Semper Fidelis Memorial Park and registering names digitally in perpetuity.
While the original systems—an online directory and a museum kiosk—were meaningful, they were also outdated, fragmented, and difficult to manage. The Foundation sought a more modern, unified, and visitor-friendly platform that could elevate the experience and make honoring Marines more accessible.

- A custom 32” brushed stainless steel Merchant Max touchscreen kiosk in the Medal of Honor Theater lobby.
- A unified interface for searching bricks, honorees, and donors.
- Smart search functionality across multiple data fields.
- Step-by-step walking directions using high-resolution trail maps.
- QR code handoff for mobile access to directions.
- Printing capability for visitor takeaways.
- “Features” tab highlighting memorials, monuments, and landmarks throughout the park.
- 2024 system refresh to include a nearly doubled trail footprint and new visitor feedback features.
