Deloitte’s 2016 Global Human Capital Trends predicted Digital HR would “revolutionize the employee experience.” It defined Digital HR as a “new platform” that brings together social, mobile, analytics and cloud (SMAC) technologies to improve the employee and candidate experience. How Do You Do Digital HR?

Like implementing any major initiative, it’s smart to do your homework. Start with small, bite-sized chunks. Identify which of your HR functions need an overhaul. How do you figure that out? Talk with people; ask everyone from the C-level to the entry-level.

Once you figure out what you need your system to do, start laying out a plan to get there. This might very well be a multi-year plan. Do you need a custom build, or will an off-the-shelf system suffice? Are there certain processes you want to outsource? Prioritize and start picking off low-hanging fruit.
