Description:
Using Zamok’s VoIP calling system, the caller at the kiosk cannot be heard, or is extremely quiet.
Solution:
You can try increasing the microphone boost level in the sound settings.
- Open the start menu and type in ‘Sound’, you should see a menu item labelled ‘Sound’
- Select the ‘Recording’ tab
- Select the audio recording device
- Click on ‘Properties’
- In the new window that opened, click on the ‘Levels’ tab
- Slide the top slider all the way over to the right.
- Test the recording volume.
- If the volume is still too low, in the ‘Levels’ tab there is a ‘Boost’ slider. Start moving that to the right, and adjust until your microphone is sensitive enough.
