Key capabilities of the kiosk include:

  • Payments for Department of Human Services services
  • Applications for WIC, SNAP/CASH benefits, and health care via MNsure
  • Form access for financial assistance and data requests
  • Document scanning for quick and secure form submission
  • Guided intake for referrals and service connections
  • “Find Help” resources to connect users with local programs and support

To further support user independence, the kiosk features an AI-powered Instructional Pop-up Video that walks residents step-by-step through the document scanning and uploading process. This ensures forms are submitted correctly, reduces user confusion, and minimizes staff involvement.

The system also includes backend reporting tools to help administrators monitor usage, identify service trends, and optimize program delivery across both counties.
