Digitizing Public Service at the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office

In Minnesota’s Itasca County, the Sheriff’s Office was facing a challenge that’s all too common in public service: overloaded staff, outdated paper-based processes, and long lines at the front desk. What began as a need for easier form completion quickly evolved into a full deployment of the Kiosk Office Suite for Law Enforcement, a turnkey solution designed to support tasks like firearms registration, property release and inmate account requests.

Routine form submissions like firearm registrations, property releases and account funding were eating up hours of staff time each week and pulling deputies away from critical duties. With the help of the Kiosk Office Suite, citizens now handle these tasks independently and securely in the lobby.

The result is a smarter, more efficient experience that functions as a true smart police station.

    Self-Service Kiosks Do the Dirty Work at Concord Wastewater Treatment Facility

    The City of Concord, New Hampshire turned to Advanced Kiosks to modernize the intake process at its Wastewater Treatment Facility. Faced with increasing foot traffic from commercial haulers and recreational vehicle users, the staff needed a solution that could reduce paperwork and streamline service without requiring additional personnel.

    To solve the issue, a Freestanding Touch Screen Check-In Kiosk was installed in the facility’s lobby, fully replacing the manual process. Whether arriving to drop off commercial waste or empty a camper’s wastewater tank, visitors now check in independently using an intuitive self-service process. The kiosk collects accurate, real-time data while freeing up staff to stay focused on their operational responsibilities.

    Since going live, the kiosk has reduced interruptions, eliminated manual data entry errors and extended service availability for off-hours visitors. By shifting a repetitive administrative task to self-service, Concord Public Works has reduced operational friction while increasing access and convenience for its growing base of visitors.

    With positive feedback from users, the project stands as a successful model of how local governments can use technology to simplify essential public services.

From paying rent to accessing housing forms, the Document Kiosk now empowers users to complete key actions independently — even outside office hours.

    In Faribault and Martin Counties, the impact is just as powerful. Residents accessing healthcare, nutrition or government assistance programs are now walked through every step of the intake process with clear, on-screen video prompts. The pop-ups adjust dynamically based on user actions, removing guesswork and ensuring every form is filled out and submitted correctly. The result?     As part of their ongoing commitment to community engagement, Orlando Magic partnered with Advanced Kiosks to create a dynamic way to celebrate their Champions of the Community. Installed inside the Kia Center, the custom-built Merchant Max Kiosk serves as a digital tribute wall — highlighting local individuals and organizations who are making a difference.

    Through an interactive, media-rich interface, visitors can browse honoree profiles, watch videos, view photos and explore the Magic’s broader impact off the court. The Merchant Max kiosk is designed for easy content updates, allowing the Orlando Magic organization to continually spotlight new stories and keep the experience fresh year-round.

     

    By giving fans a moment to pause and connect with the stories behind the spotlight, the kiosk adds a deeper layer of meaning to the game day experience while reinforcing the Orlando Magic’s value of community.
