Services: Kiosk Refresh
Windows 7 “End-of-Life”: January 2020
You may not realize it, but if you have an older kiosk, its computer is likely using the Windows 7 operating system. Microsoft recently announced the Windows 7 “end-of-life.”
End-of-life is the date after which Microsoft will no longer support Windows 7.
What Does this Mean to You?
After January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide updates or technical support for the Windows 7 operating system. This means:
- No security updates
- No technical support
- No software updates
Older kiosks running Windows 7 will therefore be at risk of security breaches, viruses and malware. Knowing this important information can help you make an informed decision about when to update or replace your kiosk software.
To address this issue, we have developed a new program called “Kiosk Refresh,” designed to update your kiosk computer to a secure Windows 10 operating system.
What is KIOSK REFRESH?
Advanced Kiosks developed Kiosk Refresh to secure and refresh your existing kiosk with updated software and new self-service technology options. This program will eliminate kiosk security risks and bring your kiosk up-to-date for a fraction of the cost of investing in a new kiosk.
KIOSK REFRESH includes:
- Brand new computer
- Windows 10 operating system
- ZAMOK Enterprise kiosk management software
- Full technical support

Customer Success
Through our Kiosk Refresh program, Storage Express upgraded ten of their kiosks. They were alerted that one of their kiosks was offline through Zamok's notification feature, leading them to find out that the facility itself was experiencing a power outage. Because of the updated kiosk software, Storage Express was able to stay ahead and put a solution in place without having to rely on employee complaints to start the process.
