Prince William County, VA, serves over 470,000 residents. Many relied on the single courthouse and public transit, spending up to 3½ hours traveling for routine services. • Pandemic-ready operations: kiosks became a focal point of service delivery, reducing in-person interactions and promoting social distancing

Outcomes:

• Institutional endorsement: Clerk Smith said the goal was to “allow customers access to essential court services outside of regular business hours”
