Kiosk Self-Service Knowledgebase

The disk read error indicates that whichever disk the computer is trying to load from cannot load the operating system and could be caused by any peripheral connected to the motherboard via USB, a disconnected cable, or a bad drive.
These troubleshooting steps are more advanced and require a technician with computer experience. If this is not available, please contact Advanced Kiosks.
  1. Unplug all USB devices and restart the computer to see if the error is still occurs.
  2. If the computer starts up, plug a single USB device into the computer and repeat the process until you have identified which device is causing the error.
  3. If the computer does not start up, Enter the BIOS and remove all boot drive options besides the primary hard drive.
  4. If you continue to see this error after following both those steps, contact Advanced Kiosks. Please have the Kiosk Serial # and Invoice # ready.
