S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology; often written as SMART) is a monitoring system included in computer hard disk drives that detects and reports on various indicators of drive reliability, with the intent of enabling the anticipation of hardware failures.
On startup, you may see an error message like the following: The SMART hard disk check has detected an imminent failure. The drive should be replaced. If possible, back up your data and contact Advanced Support for RMA, or replacement components. Please have your Kiosk Serial # and Invoice # ready.
